What is Counselling and how can it help?

Counselling is a talking therapy where the counsellor uses skills, such as active listening, to facilitate growth and personal development in their client, enabling, the exploration of thoughts and feelings. It is primarily facilitated through discussion but can also use creative mediums to support the exploration of feelings and emotions experiences by the client.

A Counsellor can provide you with a safe, supportive, non-judgemental confidential place where you can speak about anything which is troubling you or causing you concern. A counsellor can support you, by looking at the changes, you want to make in your life and explore how best you can make these changes.

We all experience time in our life where things become unmanageable and we feel like we can't cope. This can cause stress and anxiety. It may be that you are struggling with a loss and don't know where to turn. Talking about your concerns without fear of judgement can be a profoundly healing process.
